Just-Kelp Liquid Seaweed Extract

KelpCrofters have made this product using the hardiest of kelp species that thrive in strong currents and rough seas, and can grow up to 5cm per day. This means that the liquid extract has naturally high concentrations of plant protecting compounds, phytohormones, nutrients and trace minerals that promote strong root development, cell division, leaf greening, and fruit and flower formation. For all plants, fruit, vegetables, flowers and lawn care: Shake before use. Mix 20-50ml Just-Kelp to 1 litre water to make a 2-5% dilute solution, then spray on plants using a knapsack sprayer, spray bottle, or watering can with a fine spray rose. Apply at a rate of 1 litre of dilute solution to 10m2.

Repeat at 2-4 week intervals during the growing season, after the first leaves have established. Use lower concentration on newly established or delicate plants, and higher concentrations on established plants, or during times of stress such as dry spells.

To enhance germination: Soak seeds overnight in 5% solution (50 ml Just-Kelp in 1 litre water).

For transplanting: Dip roots in 5% solution for 5 minutes before transplanting (50 ml Just-Kelp in 1 litre water).

Total Nitrogen (9.5 g/L); Soluble Phosphorous, as P2O5 (<1 g/L); Water Soluble Potassium, as K2O (14 g/L). Calcium (425 mg/L), Magnesium (771 mg/L), Sulphur (348 mg/L), Boron (6 mg/L), total Macronutrients (1-2 g/L), total micronutrients (>800 mg/L). Amino acids (1.3g/L), mannitol (4.3g/L). Values may vary per batch.

The N-P-K ratio of Just-Kelp is 1-0-1.4, making a low nutrient product that can be used in conjunction with your standard fertilizer program. It is important to note that this product does not act as a fertiliser, but instead the bioactive components in the liquid seaweed stimulate the natural processes of plants to enhance plant growth, nutrient uptake, plant quality and tolerance to stress, which all benefit plant yield and vigor.
